About Greenland

Greenland is the world's largest island, a dramatic Arctic landscape of glaciers, fjords, and icebergs with a small population concentrated along the coast. Although Greenland governs nearly all of its own internal affairs through its own parliament and government, it remains constitutionally and legally part of the Kingdom of Denmark, which retains responsibility for foreign affairs, defense, and security. Greenland is not an independent country.
